Update On My Life

For me, this sure has been awhile since I have last posted. Nothing too overly exciting has happened in the last few days. Last night Jared and I went to Shane's to watch Prison Break and 24. Once again I would have to say they were good episodes. 24 didn' t have too much action tho. Whenever you go to Shane's house you can always expect an array of different foods, and there were tons let me tell you!

Tonight I have a hockey game against Ile Des Chene. I hope I feel alright to play, my throat is feeling quite sore! Oh well, I will have to tough it out! Hopefully this game will be a little more challenging than our last one. We played SBC last week and won 9-1! It still was a fun game tho!

As of now I have 3 more days until I head off to Diamond, Louisiana for MDS. I do not feel all that excited as of yet, but I know it will come on my way there I am sure! I have no idea what to expect when I am out there but I am sure it will be a great experience! I have to miss a wedding and a special birthday while I am gone, so that kind of sucks, but that is just the way it has to be! The special birthday I have to miss is Jared's 20th! I promised him tho that I would make an expensive phone call home on his birthday just for him! (I hope I remember!!! lol) I am really going to miss Jared while I am gone, I know it's sad, but this is the longest we will not be seeing eachother as far as I know. Oh well, it will just be more way more exciting when I do get to see him the Sunday I get back! For his birthday I am planning on taking him to the driving range at the Golf Dome as well as to his FAVORITE restaurant (which I don't like), The Olive Garden. Expensive evening let me tell you, those driving range costs are CRAZY!!!!! Oh well, what I don't do for someone I love!

Please pray that we will have a safe ride there and back!! As well as for safety and team unity as we are there!

Well, yesturday around 4:00 I went to the hairdresser to get my hair coloured and cut. I was a little nervous to see my long hair go, I mean to others it probably still looks long, but to me it feels like half my length was cut off! Little did I know that I would only be out of there at 7:00!!!! That was the longest hair appointment I think I have ever had!!! 3 HOURS!! I got out of there just in time to make it to Heidi and Bern's by 7:15 to babysit Kai. When I arrived at my sisters house I of course immediately got stuck, stuck just on ice tho and not in any snow! Luckily my dad was passing on his way to Members meeting at church and pushed me out! Bern couldn't help since he threw out his back and Heidi....... well she is pregnant and shouldn't be pushing a car!
Kai was as cute as ever!! He cried for maybe 15 seconds when they left for Bible Study but then after that... a perfect angel! He always seems to be in a good mood! Jared showed up a while later to help me out. Right aways Kai was bringing books to Jared. Jared was a good sport! Kai even wanted to sit on his lap and everything. Kai barely wanted to come to me at all!! He was basically rejecting me all night!! I love it that Kai seems to love Jared so much! We didn't really want to put him to bed because we were having so much fun with him!

Curling in Sperling (thanks Todd)

Saturday evening our college and career group headed out to Sperling for a night of fun! I must say, I had never ever really been in the little town of Sperling before. When we arrrived at the arena, we all decided to partake in the game of curling. A lot of us had never really curled before, including me. It was interesting none the less. Raquel and I would both agree that we are amazing sweepers, right Raquel??? lol. I mean for a little part of the time we kept up with the rock, but a lot of the time we just couldn't run fast enough to get to it. We tried a new stategy since our first one obviously wasn't working. We tried stagering a bit. She went a little closer to the person throwing the rock while I went quite a ways down in case it went past her, that way I would've been farther down to get it. Let's just say, somehow the rock still got away from us!! Anyways, it was a good experience and I am happy to say now that I have curled. I suck at it, but I have done it!!!
After our game of curling most of us headed onto the ice beside and started a game of hockey. All I can say is that those boys were sure skating circles around us girls. I am glad I can just stick to playing on a girls hockey team!
Later we went to Kevin and Becky's for a spread of different pies! It was delicious! We didn't play games like we normally do when we are there, but instead all lay around. I think we all had too much of a workout on the ice!

The meal

I must say that yesturday I had quite a delicious meal! I had gone over to Jared's house before he had really started making anything so I sat in the kitchen and watched. I was not allowed to help at all! I was asking him a lot of questions about things he was putting into this sweet and sour sauce. I found out a lot of things that actually do go into that sauce that I never knew before. His brother Tyler thought that possibly cinnamon went in to make it have the sweet taste and lemon juice to make it sour. lol. Still not sure if he was serious or not! He lit some candles for our meal, as well as put on the softest music he had... "The Fray". I am very proud of Jared for making such an AMAZING meal!

Things to look forward to!

Today during my lunch break I recieved a phone call from Brittany Kornelson........ she invited me to join her at the Dierks Bently concert tomorrow night at the MTS Centre, along with Olivia, Chandra and possibly Annette! Doc Walker and Eric Church will be there as well. The best part is........ is that it is FREE!!! Plus, we will be in box seats! I am really looking forward to spending a night out with the girls!!!

The other day I am looking forward to is Friday night. Why??? My wonderful boyfriend will be cooking me a meal, my favorites even!!! Sweet and sour sausage and mashed potatoes!!! The special part is, is that he is doing it all by himself. Myself would probably struggle making such a meal as I am not all that good with cooking yet. As long as he knows how to maybe I don't have to!!

I have decided to begin my adventure that lies within the world of Blogging.
I'm not sure I will get very far but we will see how creative I will get.
Kelsey has finally taken on the task of helping me with the beginning part of blogging. Showing me the ways of the Blogger world.

So here goes nothing:
To start my blogging off with a bang I'll simply state what my evening consisted of. It's a Monday and on Monday's I get together with 4 other special people. Jared, Chad, Kelsey, and Shane. Our reason for getting together? 24.
Tonight was the second half of the season 6 premiere and I must say I am speechless.
